VP of Marketing
Your Main Goal at Macrostax:
The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for managing all aspects of Macrostax’s marketing campaigns and operations, for leading and growing a small team of marketing specialists, and for building a world-class marketing function. This leader will create and execute innovative marketing strategies to profitably increase revenue and grow the brand. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a unique opportunity to be a key leader in a fast-growing company. We have served over 100,000 consumers in roughly three years with a current team of 14. This role will be based in Boulder, CO (although at the moment the team is working fully remote). When we do return to the office we have a flexible work schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely from home.
Your Role (Job Responsibilities):
Paid acquisition is our main strategy for new revenue so a strong understanding and ability to lead the strategy for paid ads by analyzing metrics is the primary responsibility. You will also, oversee all aspects of digital marketing including the website, sign up funnel, marketing automation, lead scoring, affiliate marketing, SEO, SEM, related partnerships and google analytics.
Oversee and manage agency relationships which includes the following platforms: facebook, Pinterest, snapchat, google, and email.
Macrostax leans heavily on media buying so a strong understanding of this space is required.
Create and execute campaign calendar.
Create new ways to optimize our flows, ex: pop ups, A/B testing landing pages, etc.
Responsible for formulating our overall marketing strategy and corresponding budget focusing on revenue growth and supporting company and cross-departmental goals. Understand and help refine our unique position in the market, crafting strategies that help convey this value to prospective customers. Forecast hiring needs for the Marketing team as it grows.
Metrics and Analytics:
Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all of our marketing channels, campaigns and programs. Utilize analytics tools and industry best practices to build dashboards to help facilitate reporting and to identify challenges and opportunities for growth and improvement on a regular basis. Experience with and a passion for data-informed decision making.
Content Creation and Strategy:
Create a comprehensive content strategy and build a pipeline to generate a consistent flow of new content to be used across all of our marketing channels. A bonus if you are willing and able to help create content.
PR and Brand Management:
Help create press coverage and PR opportunities for Macrostax. Help define our brand strategy and how we continue to leverage and evolve the Macrostax brand.
5+ years experience working in a senior marketing role managing a team
Experience working in a B2C SaaS environment
3+ years working on paid acquisition channels
Local to Boulder/Denver (or ability to relocate)
Managed and budgeted over $5M in marketing spend
Willingness to “roll up their sleeves” in addition to providing oversight and management.
