Based in Boulder, CO our company is growing rapidly and are looking to add this position to our marketing department. Currently, we are working entirely remote, but plan on returning to the office in January 2021 (or when safe). This position will be asked to work out of the office, and thus must be local to Boulder, CO or open to unassisted re-location.  

About this Role

We are looking for an Email Marketing Manager to be our in-house expert on all aspects of Email strategy, design, automation, coding, and implementation. This person will be responsible for Email lead acquisition, automation, copywriting, building and deployment, life cycle marketing efforts, and other Email marketing projects. A successful candidate will help Macrostax increase its lead generation, customer LTV, customer upsell efforts, and other key metrics. You will be joining a small team that is looking for you to contribute immediately with ideas and best practices for increased customization and personalization.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Own, execute, and report on all Email initiatives (including set-up, audience segmentation, copy, coding, QA, and deployment) as part of larger marketing initiatives and strategy.

  • Review our current automations and provide new ideas for the customer lifecycle (win back campaigns, up sells, on-boarding, etc).

  • Devise and implement strategy for Email leads list generation and capture.

  • Apply strategies for increased open and click rates, as well as, decreased unsubscribes.

  • Optimization & innovation to keep Emails relevant and engaging.

  • Monitor key metrics and create comprehensive reports displaying growth and progress for retention and revenue.

  • Maintain a testing and QA schedule to match the other on-going marketing efforts.

  • Proactively identify and act on opportunities to advance business objectives through Email

  • Support the team through other digital efforts and assigned tasks. 


  • 4-6 years B2C Email marketing experience

  • Expert knowledge of marketing automation technology

  • Experience developing and implementing audience segmentation strategies

  • Demonstrable experience with data analytics and application in email marketing

  • Results-driven mentality

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to communicate with and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills

  • Experience managing and growing an email marketing program

  • Demonstrated expertise in email best practices, CAN-SPAM laws and email trends

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Active Campaign Email management

  • Experience working for a Consumer SaaS and/or health/wellness organization

  • Interest in health, wellness and nutrition industry

  • Desire to roll up your sleeves, work with a positive attitude and make a difference on a small start-up team. You are willing and want to share your data-driven ideas for growth.

  • Strategic thinker and detail-oriented mindset.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
